Establishing and implementing a scientific maintenance plan can effectively prevent malfunctions, extend equipment life, and ensure production safety.
Daily maintenance is fundamental. Before operation, a routine inspection should be performed: observe all hydraulic system pipe joints for leaks; check if the oil level in the tank is within the standard range; confirm that all moving parts (such as slide rails and hinges) are properly lubricated. After each day’s work, the equipment must be thoroughly cleaned, especially the inside of the hopper, the surface of the pressure head, and the conveyor belt (if any) to remove residual plastic debris and dust, preventing impurities from affecting compression or damaging seals. At the same time, check if the strapping path is smooth and free of wear.
Regular maintenance is even more crucial. This mainly includes regularly changing or filtering the hydraulic oil. Hydraulic oil is the “blood” of the equipment; long-term use will lead to oxidation and contamination. It is recommended to change it every six months to one year, depending on usage frequency and the manufacturer’s recommendations, and clean the oil tank at the same time. Regular tightening and lubrication are essential. Check the tightness of all bolts and nuts, and apply appropriate grease to bearings, slide rails, and other components to reduce wear. The electrical system should not be neglected either; regularly check power cords and terminals for looseness and clean dust from the control cabinet. Furthermore, regularly check the sealing performance of hydraulic cylinders; replace seals promptly if leaks are found; check pressure gauges and safety valves for proper functioning. Maintaining a simple maintenance log, recording the items and time of each maintenance session, is an effective means of preventative maintenance.
