The long-term stable operation of any industrial equipment relies on scientific maintenance, and the semi-automatic bottle baling machine is no exception. Although its structure is relatively simple, working in high-pressure, high-dust environments for long periods can easily lead to hydraulic leaks, strapping jams, or weak compression without proper care. Establishing a standardized daily maintenance routine not only reduces unexpected downtime but also significantly extends equipment lifespan, protecting the company’s fixed asset investment.
First is the inspection of the hydraulic system. Hydraulic oil is the “blood” of the baler; operators should regularly check the oil level to ensure it is within the normal range and observe whether the oil is cloudy or discolored. Simultaneously, check pipe joints for leaks and clean dust around the hydraulic station to prevent poor heat dissipation causing high oil temperatures. Secondly, cleaning the strapping path is crucial. Plastic bottles generate (massive amounts of) debris and dust during compression, which can accumulate in the strap channel and friction plates, causing feeding issues or loose strapping. It is recommended to use compressed air to clean the channel after every shift and check if the cutter is sharp.
Finally, lubrication and tightening of mechanical components. Moving parts such as press plate rails, bearings, and hinges require regular greasing to reduce wear and noise. Simultaneously, due to long-term vibration, loose bolts are common; be sure to regularly check the tightness of anchor bolts and key structural components. Through this simple “three-step” maintenance strategy, your semi-automatic bottle baling machine will always remain in optimal condition, providing continuous power for recycling operations.
